Medical Benefits Fund
The Medical Reimbursement Program was designed to help schools and career educators in the New York City Metropolitan area pay for the cost of medical insurance. In order to participate in this program, the school must meet the criteria and be eligible for the Fund for Jewish Education (FJE) programs. Participants in the Medical Reimbursement Program must be employed for a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week in eligible positions in yeshivot and day schools; and a minimum of twelve (12) hours per week in supplementary schools. The monthly reimbursement rate as of July 2008 is $70 for Individual coverage, $165 for Family coverage, $110 for Employee/Spouse or Employee/Child coverage. The remaining portion of the cost is to be paid by the school, educator or both.
This program is funded by the Fund for Jewish Education and Gruss Life Monument Funds.
